Sometimes the best food that is undiscovered in our own backyards. Famed chef Gordon Ramsay continues his worldwide search for flavors in the third season of National Geographic’s Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted. In the latest episode, he challenges famous local chef Melissa Kelly in Maine for some seaside dishes.

In the National Geographic series Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, chef Gordon Ramsay journeys to some of the most incredible and remote locations on Earth in search of culinary inspiration, epic adventures, and cultural experiences he will never forget.
For the third season, he’ll travel to Portugal, Croatia, Mexico, Maine, Puerto Rico, Iceland, the Smoky Mountains, Finland, Michigan, and Texas. His journey takes him to explore the local cultures and global cuisines—and most importantly—challenge local food legends of the area for a final big cookoff.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with Maine’s local food legend Melissa Kelly on her experiences being part of the series, cooking with Gordon Ramsay, and the fresh ingredients.
Melissa Kelly is a local food legend, who is a two-time James Beard Award winner and a true champion of New England’s farm-to-table movement. She runs her restaurant, Primo, on a four-acre farm that supplies the bulk of the fresh and seasonable ingredients, making her ever-changing menu famous.
National Geographic’s Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted airs on Sundays at 9/8c.
