As far as us fans know, Ben Affleck is still Batman, that may change by the end of the day or possibly by the end of this article. What we do know is that Matt Reeves is working on a solo Batman film. A few names have been thrown around to replace Affleck if he decides to bow out of the role, the most often heard name is Jake Gylenhaal (who recently shot down those rumors). However, while speaking with Yahoo! Movies, actor Michael C. Hall, expressed his interest in portraying the character.
“In that particular iteration of the superhero origin story, it was an alternative universe, he was a vampire. But Batman in general, I like him as a superhero, because he’s not particularly endowed with superpowers, he’s just smart. And the suit!”

Hall voiced Batman in Justice League: Gods and Monsters, so he is already somewhat familiar with portraying the Caped Crusader. I have to say, I think Hall would be an excellent choice and one that I hadn’t thought of yet. As many of us know, Hall played a dark and brooding character with his own sense of justice in the show Dexter, so if Hall happens to land this role, I am all for this.
