Mila Kunis Not In Fantastic Four – Current Favorites For Casting Choices | Barside Buzz

The latest Marvel Barside Buzz says Fantastic Four is set in an alt Universe, plus Avengers 5 begins filming next year.

First some solid news that Mila Kunis is not in Fantastic Four. However then we have some Barside Buzz around the current favorites for the casting choices to explore. Let’s start with one being ruled out. Appearing on The Late, Late Show with James Corden, Kunis ruled herself out of the running for Sue Storm. Kunis says she had lunch with the director (Matt Shakman) and that is where the rumors came from. However, Kunis does say she knows who has the four roles, but she’s not saying anything. Check it out below.

Barside Buzz is Adam Driver is in final talks for Reed Richards. Plus some new Sue casting rumors for the Fantastic Four movie also.

So where does that leave us currently? Well, I shall tell you the favorites for three of the roles, however there is one I’ve heard nothing about so far, well, nothing I buy. The number one favorite for Reed Richards has been Adam Driver for some time. No one is prepared to 100% say it’s a done deal and no one is daring to suggest anyone else either. If you were betting, I’d put money on Driver, but it’s still not a sure thing.

As or Sue, well the clear front runner remains Jodie Comer. Jeff Sneider recently pointed out on his The Hot Mic Podcast that Comer has now left the Blade Runner series she was attached to. Whilst that does not guarantee Comer, this is I think relevant. Leaker MTTSH recently claimed she knows who is Sue, but won’t confirm as the actress turned the part down once already. Given how many insiders said Comer a while ago, I get the feeling this is who MTTSH is referring to. Again, not 100%, but that’s the favorite.

Now on to Johnny and there is a name I have heard a few times over the last week. The name of Paul Mescal. However, I would have probably not called him the favorite if it was not for Daniel RPK making the claim on his Patreon this weekend that the role has been offered to Mescal.

That leaves us Ben Grimm. So far this weekend has seen some strange rumors regarding Ben’s casting. MTTSH claimed that Marvel were considering gender swapping Ben and having a female Thing. This was then backed by KC Walsh. However, I have a hard time buying this one. I wonder if there was perhaps a bit of baiting going on between insiders on this one? Since then I’ve heard rumblings this is not true, then Skyler Shuler from DisInsider has come out to say Ben is definitely in the movie.

For me, the most important role to get right is Ben Grimm. Regular readers probably already know I’m, a big Fantastic Four fan and Ben was always my fave of the Four. I’ve said before that I never liked any previous live-action versions of Ben/Thing. I genuinely hope the MCU is perfect. Still not heard one single rumor around who has been cast as Ben though.

My guess is that Marvel has either locked down, or almost locked down four actors. We are now just waiting for some final details and an appropriate place to announce the cast. Likely this years SDCC will be the place for that is my prediction.

So, Mila Kunis not in Fantastic Four but those are the current favorite casting choices as far as the Barside Buzz goes. Whilst hardly confirmed, what do you think of the current favorites? As always, leave your thoughts below.
