Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One | Official Teaser Trailer

Check out the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One official teaser trailer below. It’s got Tom Cruise in a car, in a fight, on a train (rooftop) and in a smaller car. Then, finally we have Tom Cruise on a bike, jumping off a mountain on said bike. In other words, just what you’d want to see from a Mission: Impossible teaser. After watching this I have no idea what the story is about, (psst, it doesn’t matter). Check it out.

Mission: Impossible is one of the few franchises I find has got better as it went along. The first film, was forgettable, the second was awful. However from the third film on, things did pick up and the last few movies have been a blast. Dead Reckoning Part One is currently schedule for release on July, 14, 2023. That means we do still have quite the wait for the first part of the movie. Luckily, Dead Reckoning Part Two will release the following Summer in 2024, currently scheduled for June 28th.

I know LRM‘s resident M:I super fan Nick Doll will be excited, but to be honest so am I. As said up top, I really enjoyed the last 2-3 M:I movies and I’m looking forward to this one also. Directed once again by Chris McQuarrie, Dead Reckoning Part One brings back the core cast as well as some old faces. Up top I said the plot didn’t matter in an M:I movie, that’s not actually true. However it doesn’t quite need an award winning script either. The last few movies felt complex despite not being complex at all. That’s as much as you need to connect the various action set pieces which define this franchise.
