Mission: Impossible – Fallout may be well over a month old here in the States, but it’s still kind of a big deal in other places in the world — namely, China. The film just opened across the Pacific, and has taken in a massive $77.3 million. While this isn’t as strong as Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation‘s $86.7 million opener, it’s still an impressive feat.
It’s with that in mind that I’d like to take a look at the overall numbers. As of this writing, Fallout has taken in $669.6 million, just $13.1 million short of Rogue Nation and $25.1 million short of Ghost Protocol. Given that China made Rogue Nation $135 million, it seems possible that this new territory alone can help Mission: Impossible – Fallout top Ghost Protocol as the highest grossing Mission: Impossible film to date!

Here are how things currently stand:
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol – $694.7M
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – $682.7M
Mission: Impossible – Fallout – $669.6M
Mission: Impossible II – $546.4M
Mission: Impossible – $457.7M
Mission: Impossible III – $397.9M
At this point, it seems like a given that the film will take the top prize within its own franchise, which I’m sure will make our own Nick Doll (an unabashed lover of Fallout) quite the happy camper.
But what do you think of the recent performance of the film? Is it deserving of such numbers? Let us know down below!
