Today I’m sharing a Mister Fantastic in Multiverse of Madness rumor roundup. I have tagged this as potential SPOILERS because the actor claimed to be playing the role is also mentioned in some of these rumors. We also have information from three separate sources here. They don’t quite all line up, but my bet is that some combination of these rumors tells the truth.
Potential Multiverse Of Madness SPOILERS Below!
Let’s start with the fact we already knew there were rumors that Mister Fantastic would appear in Multiverse of Madness. However the first rumor we share today comes from The Illuminerdi. They say the Mister Fantastic who appears in MoM will be a variant, not the MCU version. The outlet also claims that this variant will be played by none other than John Krasinski. I’ll also just say right now I have also heard the name Ioan Gruffud mentioned as a potential variant out there.
‘From what we’ve heard, it sounds like John Krasinski may have filmed scenes as Mr. Fantastic for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. Now, if this turns out to be true it would be a huge win for fans that have fan cast Krasinski as the leader of the Fantastic Four for years. Interestingly it sounds like Krasinski could be playing a variant version of Mr. Fantastic from another universe. Mr. Fantastic was one of the members of the Illuminati in Marvel comics.’
However, this story by the outlet was then backed by MTTTSH who tweeted the below. And she was then replied to by ViewerAnon and you can see that combination of sources below.
I didn’t mean this as a me vs. MTTSH tweet! I think MTTSH has been exceptionally solid and trustworthy. To me it was cool confirmation of Mr. Fantastic being in DS2 and the fun scooper telephone game of hearing slightly different info relayed by alternate sources.

Not necessarily! MTTSH has been very solid thus far and it’s always possible I just heard the wrong actor. But I’ve definitely heard Mr. Fantastic is in it.

I wonder if he means Gruffud? As said, not personally, but around the Barside Buzz I’ve heard Gruffud’s name mentioned by a few less high profile sources already. Interesting to see whether it’s one, both or neither frankly at this point.

You can see by the related link above this is a rumor that’s been growing since it was first suggested. I guess that it now seems likely there will be a Reed Richards variant in The Illuminati, but which actor it is seems to be still slightly up in the air. That’s too many good insiders for this kind of info saying a similar story to just dismiss it now.
