We all knew this was coming, but Morbius is officially the best Marvel film ever according to most reviews! I won’t beat around the Morbius bush. I feel ashamed I have not put my life on hold to go and join this biblical viewing experience, yet. Check out some of these stunning reviews for the movie. Morbius will surely cement Sony’s Spider-Man Universe in a tier above the MCU after this?
First off you can find the RT score in the link which will show you that Morbius is now sitting at an amazing 17% critic score. Not only that, but a record breaking 64% audience score. I think it’s clear that at this point Disney should just considering giving Sony creative control over Marvel. Fans can then have a unified Universe under the wise guidance of Sony Pictures. Critics always hate superhero movies, fact, look it up. However 17% of them actually liked Morbius. That’s huge in itself, but well over 50% of the fans who saw it were happy also.
Variety‘s headline for their review was ‘Jared Leto in a Vampire Supervillain Origin Story That’s Neither Original Nor a Good Story’. So without reading it whatsoever this means it is a bit formulaic, but an amazing story right?
EW said that ‘Sony’s high-gloss vampire superhero film isn’t really a full movie, but it’s fun’, well fun is the whole point of entertainment right?
USA Today said, ‘Even with vampire Jared Leto, lifeless ‘Morbius’ is a soul-sucking superhero effort’. Surely the first confirmation that Jared Leto went full Daniel Day-Lewis and actually became a vampire for this role. It’s also so good it sucks your soul, I assume having your soul sucked is nice or something?

Rolling Stone praised Morbius by saying, ‘Morbius’ may be the single most anemic Marvel movie ever made’. I told you! Most anemic Marvel movie ever. I don’t know what anemic means, but it sounds fancy for awesomesauce.
It also sounds like Morbius has real tonal styling based on what The Playlist had to say, ‘A Dull, Depressing Comic Book / Horror Hybrid’ . Sounds to me like Morbius is even gritter than The Batman, amazing.
I also found one outlet who seems to be going against the grain, just for balance. Vanity Fair had this to say, ‘Morbius is all the better for its literary flair and gothic bite.’ Never fear friends, there is always one dissenter and in the great Morbius purge that follows they will not survive long.
On this day, April 1st, 2022, I declare that all April 1st’s from this day for all eternity should be known as Morbius day. Have you converted to Morbiusm yet? Would you like to sign up to the MorbiMailingClub? Shake of the shackles of your societies and join your local Morbidian Church right away.
