For the last couple of weeks LRM has been predicting a  live-action Rebels spin-off show. It looks as though the characters are going to initially appear in The Mandalorian Season 2, before their own show starts. Far as we can tell Ahoska Tano will be the lead character of this show, and we have heard rumors of an Ahsoka led show for a while.

Now one of the biggest scoopers has claimed they have info an Ahsoka led show is happening. Daniel Richtman might not be the first to share this rumor, check the related section below. However, Richtman may be the one with the best hit rate for scoops so far to throw his hat in the ring. Richtman shared the news on his Patreon service this weekend with subscribers.

As said above, this is maybe the third, or fourth time I have heard this particular Ahsoka rumor. LRM has also heard from our own source at Lucasfilm that Rosario Dawson will be presented as Ahsoka at Star Wars Celebration. It’s certainly looking like Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, Hera Syndulla, Rex, and Sabine Wren are all set to appear initially in The Mandalorian Season 2. If this is the main cast of the rumored Ahsokla led show, then it’s effectively a sequel to Rebels and The Clone Wars. I’m sure there will be many fans of those shows happy to see this story carried forward on Disney+.

I don’t see anything official coming out about this show, or the cast until Star Wars Celebration. However, as we know Star Wars Celebration is still being tentatively planned. The Coronavirus crisis may yet delay Celebration even further. Lucasfilm will have to find some other way to announce all these plans, if the convention can’t go ahead.

I’m currently working my way through Rebels for the first time. Accepting the fact this was made as a Saturday morning cartoon for kids, I think there is some gold in Rebels. I especially the two-parter Season 2 finale, ‘Twilight of the Apprentice’. Actually, I enjoyed it more than some of the recent movies. I also think that The Clone Wars was at times better than the prequel trilogy. I’m therefore keen to see where this Ahsoka show will go.
