Test your might! After years and years of development, a Crow-like number of false starts, and a revolving door of directors, Mortal Kombat is finally getting in front of cameras. Sure, we’ll always have that 1995 film to look back on fondly, but fans have yet to have an adaptation that truly measures up to the gruesome nature of the source material.

The new Mortal Kombat film, which is written by Greg Russo, directed by Simon McQuoid, and produced by Aquaman helmer James Wan, is finally in front of cameras as of yesterday, and Russo took to Twitter to celebrate with an image.
