Star Wars movies are so passé. Okay, maybe not, but there’s more to look forward to in Star Wars-land than just the movies we all rush out to the theaters to see, and spend months arguing about. According to The Tracking Board, Disney has more than one Star Wars TV show in the works for their upcoming Disney-branded TV show.
Sadly, it’s not clear what these TV shows are. However, as we reported last month, Disney was staffing up for the follow-up to Star Wars Rebels, which is ending soon. We wouldn’t be surprised that this is one of the series are in development.

We can only hope that Disney is also looking to capitalize on a live-action TV show, as we know that would do amazingly well for them (assuming it’s any good, of course).
Regardless, just live in comfort, knowing that you have more Star Wars in your future. However, it is worth noting that Disney CEO Bob Iger felt the need to clarify that Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will not be contributing to the Star Wars series, as they’ve recently been announced as the co-pilots for an upcoming series of films.
“Their interest was in creating a series of films that are Star Wars-based. We’ve been talking to them for a long time. They didn’t express interest in creating a series.”
What a bummer. But at least we’re getting some brand-new films from them, which is arguably better than a series, depending on the kind of experience you’re looking for.
