Urban Myths is going to be a very unique TV series when it premieres on Sky Arts on January 19. It’s going to put a unique, absurd twist on all kinds of urban legends that surround some of the most famous figures ever.
In Urban Myths, you’ll see a varied group of famous figures like Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Adolf Hitler (!?!?!), Bob Dylan, Cary Grant, and others played by the likes of Brian Cox, Stockard Channing, Eddie Marsan, and more. But one of the more notable castings, which took the net by storm a while back when it was announced, was the choice to have Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare In Love) play “The King of Pop” Michael Jackson.
Well, if you’ve been curious about this project ever since hearing about that MJ casting, here’s a chance to take a peak at the bizarre tales it plans to tell- including our first glimpse of Fiennes as Jackson.
Here’s the trailer for Urban Myths:
Our Urban Myths are stories that have been passed down over time and have now become part of urban folklore. But are they true? We take a slightly tongue in cheek, mischievous – and deliberately ambiguous – look at what might have happened…
