Growing up my grandma would always get me The Hardy Boys books and my sister the Nancy Drew books, which as an avid reader, I would read both sets. The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew have been around since the late 20s and early 30s continually spanning the decades.
Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase will make its way into theaters this spring, which is based on a book by the same name. This isn’t the first time this particular book makes its way to the bring screen as it was also adapted in 1939. Nancy Drew will be played by Sophia Lillis as many will know from her portrayal as Beverly Marsh in 2017’s IT. The film will be directed by Katt Shea while the screenplay is by Nina Fiore and John Herrera.
