Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! Most think of warm and fuzzy memories and traditions for Christmas. It’s a holiday season filled with happy Christmas movies and songs, family visits, and delicious treats. And on the day of, we can hear the thunderous sound of little feet running down the stairs to a glittering Christmas tree. The children tear through the presents placed underneath it. But there is something else about this holiday. Whether you think of Krampus or if you are like me, horror movies. There is a wonderful darkness that I love. While the warm and fuzzy festivities gets me in the spirit of Christmas, too much joy makes me uncomfortable. I need frights and gore in my life! Netflix has released the official trailer of the Danish Netflix original series, Elves, and it’s getting me excited for some holiday violence. Yay, violence!
Netflix’s Elves
A Christmas vacation turns into a nightmare for a teenager and her family when they discover an ancient menace that stalks their island getaway.
The music, of course, gives it away that this series will not be full of Christmas cheer. The trailer starts off with a family driving to their holiday vacation. The parents are trying to get their two kids to sing a carol to get in the holiday spirit. Their arguing causes the father to get distracted and he hits something with his car. The daughter later discovers a cute little creature in the woods, but this isn’t ET. There’s a fenced-in area keeping something inside and the girl wants to free them. Having no understanding of the culture you are visiting, perhaps it’s best to listen to the locals. The family has been told about the Årmandsø and yet, she thought this was a good idea.

Elves stars Sonja Sofie Engberg Steen, Milo Campanale, Lila Nobel, and Vivelill Søgaard Holm. Also, the creator of the series is Stefan Jaworski. Elves will be released on Netflix on November 28.
