New Ant-Man TV Spot Plays Up Avengers: Infinity War Connection
Avengers: Infinity War has come and gone, and as I’m sure plenty of you have seen it and enjoyed it for the good time it was. However, like many, you may also have come away from the film with one question: where is Hawkeye? Okay, then. Maybe two. Where is Ant-Man? After all, the last time we saw these two, they were helping out Captain America take on Tony Stark, and as a result, got locked away.
Well, Ant-Man and the Wasp will be answering one of those questions, as the new TV spot highlights. After being seemingly rescued from the Raft, he’s now been placed under house arrest. It’s mostly played for comedic effect, and I’d say it works very well. This will be especially helpful to those who only watch these films casually and really liked Infinity War, as it works as a nice segue into the flick.
In terms of MCU connections, there’s also a funny moment where Ant-Man’s suit malfunctions and Hope says, “If only Cap could see you now.”
Below is the official synopsis for Ant-Man and the Wasp:
“From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.”
