Before the Justice League, there was The Justice Society, as presented in the new Black Adam trailer.
With the anti-hero about to be on the big screen next month, this trailer gives us a better glimpse of the superheroes daring to face the anti-hero Black Adam and even a quick sighting of a bigger villain on the horizon.
The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam with Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centino (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3), Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy), Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Mo Amer (Mo, Ramy), Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things), and Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia!) as Dr. Fate. Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) directed the film from the screenplay by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani, based on characters created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.
Here is the brief synopsis:
In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.

No need for my opinion for this trailer, but it gives us a better idea of the plot’s direction with better hints about the heroes. Too bad there’s no sighting of Shazam anywhere…..so far.
Black Adam is in theaters on Friday, October 21.
