So it looks like after his time in New York, Scamander set to work on his book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and a book launch party in Fantastic Beasts 2 seems inevitable. If this book launch does take place in the new film, then either Scamander had been hard at work on the book during the first film, or is an incredibly fast writer, as this sequel is known to take place months after the first one.

Of course, fans of the Harry Potter books will recognize the title as the same one from the textbook Harry and his classmates use for their lessons. It’s nice to actually see the book come to fruition here.

Below is the synopsis for the film:

“As he promised he would, Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause — elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander. The adventure reunites Newt with Tina (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol) and Jacob (Dan Fogler), but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.”
