New Halloween Trailer Hits Tomorrow, New Poster Has Jamie Lee Curtis Facing Her Fate

With the release of Halloween this coming October will see the return of one of cinema’s greatest conflicts — Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers. While this conflict has already played out over several sequels to the 1978 original film, this upcoming film will be ignoring all of those sequels, and be set four decades after the masked killer first went on his rampage.

While audiences at San Diego Comic-Con already had an extended look at what to expect from the film, most have yet to see more than just little teases here and there. Luckily, Jamie Lee Curtis is coming to her rescue. On her Twitter account, she shared a brand-new poster for the film, which hypes up the conflict between her character and Michael, but that wasn’t all. She also teases that the new trailer will hit tomorrow!

In this sequel to the original movie, we will see what happens when a documentary film crew visits Michael Myers in prison, 40 years after the original events. This somehow leads to Michael’s escape, and he’s ready to get revenge on Laurie Strode, the one who put him behind bars in the first place. But in the decades that have passed, she has been preparing to take him on for that fateful day when he’d finally show up on her front porch.

If you were hoping to gain some extra insight into the homicidal mind of Michael in this film, you will likely be disappointed, as director David Gordon Green has already stated that the killer will be more of a force of nature than ever before.
