New Highlander Set Photos Show Henry Cavill In A Black Trenchcoat

We have a description of the footage shown of Highlander to audiences at CinemaCon, plus some set photos showing filming of historical scenes.

Ever wanted to see Henry Cavill playing a Scotsman in a black trenchcoat, then check out the new Highlander set photos. We’ve already had a few set photos from locations shoots on the Highlander reboot from director Chad Stahelski. So far we’ve seen Bautista’s The Kurgan and Cavill’s MacLeod, plus one shot of Jeremy Irons.

These new photos come from the same source and were taken from location shotting on the streets of London. Daytime shots for once as well, so you can get a clear look and Cavill has a new outfit. One would guess trenchcoat of some description is needed when you are always carrying and concealing a sword on your person.

We still have no release date for Highlander but it seems a good bet it could arrive before the end of 2027. Despite early delays due to an injury to star Henry Cavill, that’s been several weeks now shotting has been in full swing.

What I am keen to see is where they are filming the scenes set in the past in the Highlands of Scotland? Surely must be up my neck of the woods? I want to see to see what Cavill looks like as Scot/Celt from many hundreds of years ago. So far though, there’s no indication of any filming taking place for these scene on location. We have not seen Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy) in any of the shots as of course her character will likely die early in the film. Yet, we have also not seen Marisa Abela who is said to be the modern love interest either.
