New JUSTICE LEAGUE Image Shows More Standing Side-By-Side From Our Heroes

Contrary to what most fans like to believe, the DC Extended Universe is alive and well. Sure, the last two films — Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad — didn’t have the best receptions, but we can’t forget how much money both made with audiences worldwide. Even if many fans disliked what they saw, there was enough there to catch the attention of the mainstream.

Despite any misgivings we have about Snyder, the fact is that by the end of this year, we will have seen the Justice League assemble for the very first time, and that in and of itself is quite the exciting prospect. Thus far, we’ve had quite a bit of advertising from Warner Bros. on this upcoming flick — from the set visit last year, along with the Comic-Con trailer, and more recent image release, it’s safe to say that we’re getting to know a lot more about Justice League this early in the game than your average blockbuster film.

Warner Bros. wants to make sure that we like this flick before we actually see it. Now, thanks to a new Empire Magazine issue, we have another look at four member of the Justice League standing side by side.

While all we have to go on here are the looks on our heroes faces, they do seem to be peering quite ominously at something in front of them…but what is it? What in their journey has led them to this location, and where is Aquaman, who is noticeably absent from the lineup? Well, given Batman’s getup — which is not his upgraded tactical suit shown off by Snyder months ago — one could guess that this moment takes place prior to the last image that was released earlier this month. As far as specific plot details…there’s very little for us to go one at this point.

The official synopsis for Justice League is as follows:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.”

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
