Nintendo fans will soon have a new way to bring the kingdom of Hyrule home.
Hasbro has announced a new multi-year licensing partnership with Nintendo to develop toys based on The Legend of Zelda franchise. The collaboration officially begins in 2027, but fans attending San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will get an early preview when the first three 6-inch-scale action figures are unveiled during the convention, taking place July 23–26.
The announcement marks one of Hasbro’s biggest new video game licensing deals in recent years and signals a significant expansion of collectible offerings based on one of Nintendo’s most beloved franchises.
“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro, in a statement. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”
While Hasbro has not yet revealed which characters will make up the inaugural wave, the company confirmed that three 6-inch-scale figures will make their debut at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Given the franchise’s iconic cast, fans are already speculating that series staples such as Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf could be among the first releases.

The partnership brings together two entertainment giants with decades of history. Since launching in North America in 1987, The Legend of Zelda has become one of Nintendo’s defining franchises, known for blending exploration, puzzle-solving, action, and adventure. Across dozens of games spanning nearly four decades, the ongoing conflict between Link, Princess Zelda, and the villainous Ganondorf has become one of gaming’s most recognizable stories.
For Hasbro, the agreement continues its strategy of expanding its portfolio with major entertainment and gaming properties. The company has produced successful toy lines based on franchises including Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Power Rangers, and now adds one of Nintendo’s flagship properties to its lineup.
Although the first products won’t hit shelves until 2027, next week’s Comic-Con reveal will offer fans their first look at what Hasbro has planned for the legendary video game series. Additional product details, pricing, and release dates are expected to be announced closer to the line’s launch.
With The Legend of Zelda continuing to enjoy renewed popularity through recent game releases and growing anticipation for future franchise projects, the partnership positions Hasbro to deliver a new generation of collectibles for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The first three 6-inch-scale The Legend of Zelda figures will be unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, with the full toy line scheduled to launch in 2027.
