A new look at Ahsoka is coming this weekend on Hulu. We don’t know if it’s a new trailer, or a clip, but the news was officially announced by Disney. Hulu is the official streaming destination for ESSENCE Fest Primetime, the major entertainment sponsor of the 2023 ESSENCE Festival of CultureTM from June 29 to July 3.

‘Talent From Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion,’ ‘Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,’ ‘Star Wars: Ahsoka,’ ABC’s ‘Abbott Elementary,’ Onyx Collective’s ‘Searching For Soul Food,’ ABC News and More Are Set To Take the Stage, With Hulu Serving as the Official Streaming Destination for ‘ESSENCE Fest Primetime’

‘As the major entertainment sponsor of the 2023 ESSENCE Festival of CultureTM from June 29 to July 3, Disney returns to showcase its content and talent, celebrating the “Power of Joy” through one-of-a-kind panels, special performances, meet and greets with characters, exclusive screenings, and giveaways.’

Then specifically for Ahsoka,

The cast will take part in events and panels on Saturday and Sunday that also include special looks at the new Disney+ series “Star Wars: Ahsoka” and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming musical feature “Wish,” starring Ariana DeBose.

Ergo, this weekend we are getting special looks at the new Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka. Sadly there is no kind of definitive timeline here. Therefore, we have no idea whether it will be Saturday or Sunday. Probably designed to get folks watching the stream on Hulu. I’m sure every geek outlet will be covering whatever they show, so perhaps that means you don’t have to watch it all?

So far there is no word on whether this event is being shown internationally. My guess is no, as Hulu doesn’t really exist outside the US, it’s just Disney+ in many territories. If it is a trailer we get, then good chance it goes online after. However if it is a clip, there may be no online share later. Though, since it’s being streamed, it will be captured and out online anyway as we all know.

I enjoyed what I saw of the first Ahsoka trailer, and would certainly rather get another trailer as opposed to a clip. I’m not a fan of clips prior to release of a show, or movie. However, I doubt Disney checks my preferences before deciding how to market their product. We do still have some time yet before Ahsoka‘s premiere hits Disney+ on August 23rd. I’m sure marketing will begin to ramp up over the next few weeks to build hype.

I’m looking forward to this one. I hope it’s another positive after being a bit disappointed in Mando S3.
