We are a week away from the release of Nintendo’s next big game, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! The games are a 3D and Pokémon Go-inspired remake of Pokémon Yellow, meaning that we will be able to revisit the world of Kanto, which we had the pleasure of first visiting way back in the late-90s.

With that in mind, you can expect a more cinematic look at some of your favorite moments from those original games, and that includes things like gym battles, confrontations with Team Rocket, and perhaps most importantly, The Elite Four. And that’s exactly what’s teased in this brand-new 40-second trailer for the game.

Of course, if you’re looking for a full-fledged Pokémon experience, you’re barking up the wrong tree. As stated above, this game seems to be more of a companion piece for their mainstream smartphone game Pokémon Go, which took off a couple years back. This game will bring in some of those catching mechanics and incorporate them into the gameplay for a completely unique experience.

But fret not. If you’re still looking forward to that core RPG experience, it’s still coming…only next year. With that one, hopefully, hardcore gamers will finally get the next-gen experience they’ve been waiting for!
