We have a new image from set of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four: First Steps to share. As you well know, the movie, directed by Matt Shakman is filming now for release next year. This is not the first images we’ve seen from some of the location shoots. However, it does give us a good look at aesthetic of Quinn’s FF costume in a real environment.

I won’t lie, when I first saw these new costumes I wasn’t a huge fan. I did however imagine that by the time these heroes get to 21st Century 616, that they’d get an updated design. Yet, as I get used to this more classic design, I’m starting to change my mind and kinda like it.
Now, you know fans are already speculating about why Johnny is at a beach. “What could it mean…?” There are of course some fans speculating that Galactus will emerge from the water creating tsunami’s. I mean, he could, but these images don’t tell us that’s the case. This could be Johnny staring at the water thinking about the thing he did wrong last night. I mean, it could be anything.

The other set photos we’ve had of the launch pad and the Fantasticar taking off were far more ripe for speculation. Yet, really,, what you saw is kinda what you get with that scene.
Regular readers know I was always a big fan of the Fantastic Four growing up. I definitely preferred when it got a little darker. Then again, regular readers of my reviews won’t be surprised to hear that either. I’m really looking forward to this one and can’t wait to see a proper trailer.
What do you think of this new set image of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four: First Steps? As always, thoughts below.
