Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the next Marvel movie, hits theatres and Disney+ Premium access on September 3rd. This new Shang-Chi promo below shows us a full minute of new footage mixed together. We see a little more of that fighting tournament that features Wong v Abomination, but from Shang-Chi’s perspective. I think what we have seen of Shang-Chi so far looks great. I may have penchant for Kung-Fu movies in general, but since I first heard the rumored plot for Shang-Chi I’ve been on board. Originally I had heard it was something like Enter the Dragon within the MCU and therefore a bit more like a PG-13 Mortal Kombat. So far, most of what we have seen from Shang-Chi seems to be the initial part of the movie where he is living in the U.S. After that, we still have wherever that fighting tournament is being held, and we have that hidden mystical city where the water dragon and Michelle Yeoh live yet to see.

The Ten Rings are very different in the MCU to what they were in the comics, that much is clear off the bat. However, we still don’t fully get to see what is going with those in any of these trailers. Will the movie climax with Shang-Chi taking possession of the Ten Rings as a guardian? Or, will he return them to that mythical city and save it somehow? You have to imagine that Shang-Chi is going to be a major player in the MCU going forward and perhaps a member of whatever the New Avengers team is.
I can’t wait for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. What do you think of this new Shang-Chi promo? Sound off below as always.
