Sony has dropped a new BTS promo online for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, plus a brand new poster to dd to the ones we have already. The BTS promo is entitled ‘Practical Production’ and aims to show off how much practical stunt work was filmed for this movie.

I like these kind of BTS promos and they always give you a little glimpse at something you’ve not seen yet in the trailer.
The promo is narrated by star Tom Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton.

I’m sure I read somewhere that previous director Jon Watts had advised Cretton against using practical shots for the swinging. It will therefore be interesting to see how this movie will look compared to Watt’s ‘Home’ trilogy. I guess we will see which one was right?

The marketing seems to be working so far for Brand New Day and I do anticipate the film being a massive box office success. Recent rumored test screening hype can be read about in the link above. It certainly feels like this one will be a bit different, which can be a good thing. However, as always, it will be the casual and hardcore fans that ultimately judge it come July 31st.
