A little Barside Buzz as we get a reaction to the Spider-Man: Brand New Day test screening and VisionQuest supposedly leads more into Secret Wars than Doomsday. Let’s begin with Spider-Man: Brand New Day and it has been revealed (by the director) that the film was test screened to a select audience. Insider John Campea says he’s heard from someone who was in that test screening.
Campea says he was told that it surpassed expectations and the reactions were even better than the studio hoped for.
Meanwhile leaker MTTSH claims she’s heard someone describe it as the best Spider-Man movie to date.
Just bear in mind that these test screenings are a selective audience and we can’t fully trust that their views will be universal. Given how close we are to the July release now, I imagine the film was in a reasonably completed state also.
Now let’s be wary of spoilers if one of MTTSH‘s sources is telling her about it.

Secondly we have an interesting comment by Cryptic HD who I rank as one of the most consistently accurate leakers out there.
Talking about the recent VisionQuest footage that was shown at Disney’s Upfront event, Cryptic said,
‘How insane would it be if we got Doombots that looked like Ultron? VisionQuest iirc does go into SW [Secret Wars].’
When a fan asked, why was the show coming out before Doomsday releases then? The insider replied,
‘Some stuff might go into Doomsday, but last I heard, It’ll have more direct links to SBW than it will Doomsday.’

Interesting if true as it would seem to make more sense as the show that we get just before Doomsday hits in December. VisionQuest begins airing on October 14th. Maybe Vis appears in Secret Wars, but he’s not (far as I know) in Doomsday.
