Harley Quinn and the Joker: one of the greatest (and most healthy) fictional couples ever to hit the TV screens or comics. It had its origins in the beloved BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, and their relationship continued in various interpretations of the comics.

With the upcoming release of SUICIDE SQUAD, we will be seeing this duo hit celluloid for the first time. We’ve had a couple of trailers for the film so far, though there weren’t many screens of the two on screen together. It’s about time that’s changed.

In a new picture from the Rolling Stone, we see the Joker giving Harley a stern talking to.

I’d like to say this confirms that the Joker will have a significant role to play in the film in addition to the backstory for Harley, but it’s still too early to tell. While her costume is the same here as it is in the film, it’s very possible she just wears the costume pretty frequently. Either way, I’m incredibly interested to see how the film handles their relationship and how the Joker is incorporated into the film’s narrative.

SUICIDE SQUAD hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
