New Teen Titans GO! To The Movies Trailer Pokes Fun At Deadpool

The trailer focuses on the fact that it seems like every superhero is getting their own film. At the beginning, we even see that Alfred has gotten a film! So the Teen Titans are on a quest to Hollywood to get their own film made. Something that they have found to be more difficult than they have anticipated, because like Superman, voiced by Nicolas Cage, tells them they really haven’t done anything “heroic” and that they really “didn’t save anything”. With Robin believing that having a movie is the only way to be seen as a real hero, they figure that they need an arch nemesis, enter Deathstroke aka Slade who wants nothing to do with them. But when Slade takes control of the heroes, only the Titans are left to save the day.

It’s a very entertaining trailer. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight is the Teen Titans mistaking Slade for Marvel’s Deadpool and his response. Also when they ask Green Lantern if he ever had a movie made about him to which he says, “there was a Green Lantern movie, but we don’t talk about it.” Something I particularly liked was the movie poster in the background that read “Batman V Joker Yawn Of Justice”.

Along with the release of the trailer is a new poster featuring the Teen Titans on the red carpet, rolling up none other than Deathstroke. On the top is the caption that reads, “The Super hero movie to end all super hero movies. Hopefully.” Check it out below!

Although this film is based on the cartoon series that a lot of fans either love or hate, it will be interesting to see how it does in theaters. It looks like it will be taking shots not only at itself but Marvel as well. Having so many different cameos in the film will make it that much more entertaining. So far they have done a really good job with the marketing for the film.
