‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ is gearing up to hit the big screen in Early June. Today, the film stopped at CinemaCon to debut a new trailer and a new poster. Paramount Pictures, Skydance, and Hasbro also featured footage from the film. To help with the presentation was director Steven Caple Jr. and a couple of the stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.

As you can see ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ is going to also use the nostalgia button as it takes place in the 90s, 1994 to be exact. Part of that nostalgia is the inclusion of the Maximals and the Pedacons of the 90s animated series, ‘Beast Wars: Transformers’, which ran from 1996 to 1999. Instead of the traditional vehicles, these characters transformed into animals.

As in every Transformers film, the fate of the world is at hand as we learn that the planet threat Unicron is coming to Earth. Now only the combined forces of Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal can rise to challenge and save the world.

Along with Ramos and Fishback, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ is directed by Steven Caple, Jr. (Creed II) and stars Luna Lauren Velez, Dean Scott Vazquez, and Tobe Nwigwe. On the Transformers side, the cast includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, Liza Koshy as Arcee, John DiMaggio as Stratosphere, David Sobolov as Rhinox, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Nightbird, Pete Davidson as Mirage, Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack, and Tongayi Chi as Cheetor.

Paramount Pictures’ ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts‘ transforms into theaters on June 9.
