The release date for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is February 8th and therefore we don’t have long to wait now until the sequel for the runaway surprise hit movie. It doesn’t feel that long ago, but it was actually 5 years ago that everything was awesome and characters such as Emmet were first introduced to audiences.
Now the citizens are facing a new threat, with LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space wrecking the world faster than our heroes can rebuild. How our heroes from various different genres and franchises will deal with this new threat remains to be seen.

This new TV spot gives us our best look yet at Harley Quinn, who not only appears in this sequel, but is voiced by real-life Harley Quinn actor Margot Robbie. I do kinda roll my eyes at how much WB are promoting everything and anything Harley Quinn related now, because she was popular in Suicide Squad. I personally don’t see her as a majorly important DC character and I hated Suicide Squad despite Robbie’s good turn as Quinn.
But, Harley Quinn is apparently DC’s biggest asset these days so she is not only appearing in this movie, she also has her own movie coming up as well. But hey, maybe you readers love Harley Quinn and want to see her in everything, in which case you are getting your wish. Am I being a bit cynical here? Of course I am, and I have nothing against the character and Robbie was excellent in the role, even if I despised the overall movie itself.
I did enjoy The Lego Movie, despite me not normally being interested in anything Lego related, yeah, I was one of those kids who didn’t like Lego. Jeez, I am a negative Nancy today aren’t I readers?
