HBO’s Watchmen series has been in production for a while now, and over that time we’ve had glimpses of what’s to come through mostly set photos. However, what we’ve seen in those set photos has been mostly unfamiliar stuff — cops with yellow scarves and such. One big thing that had us intrigued were the squid signs which had the look of a nuclear fallout symbol, which gave us an idea of the world they’re living in.
Based on all this, it seemed clear that this show is set in the same world as the Watchmen comic, only in the present day. With that in mind, it seemed unlikely that we’d see any other characters from the days of Watchmen — at least not in their vigilante outfits (unless they continued fighting decades after those events). So it was a bit surprising when I saw on my Twitter feed that we’d be seeing a familiar character. But then I saw the images. Check them out below.

Essa não é a primeira vez que algo na produção faz alusão ao Justiça Encapuzada. Anteriormente já tínhamos visto a silhueta do personagem em outra imagem dos bastidores. pic.twitter.com/ZCBcyH5Uip

If you’re unfamiliar, this bus shows off Hooded Justice, a classic member of the Minutemen, which were the precursor to the Crimbusters. This billboard on the bus looks like an ad for a TV show that will chronicle his moment in history with the Minutemen. This further drives home the idea that we’re living in a post-Watchmen world and further intrigues me as a fan.
