Nickelodeon Celebrates 25 Years Of Blue’s Clues & You With A Feature Film

Blue's Clues

This year Nickelodeon is commemorating 25 years of their iconic animated series, Blue’s Clues. It’s crazy to think that this preschool series launched on September 8th, 1996. To celebrate the occasion, Nickelodeon is going to showcase an array of initiatives across multiple platforms.

But that is not enough for everyone’s favorite blue dog! They have also greenlit a brand-new original Blue’s Clues original film. It will follow Josh and Blue as they go to New York City. There they will attempt to audition for a big Broadway musical. The currently untitled film will be directed by Matt Stawski with writing by Angela Santomero and Liz Maccie. They will begin the production of this film this summer. It will be overseen by Darlene Caamaño Loque, Senior Vice President of Nickelodeon Movies.

President of Nickelodeon Ramsey Naito commented on the success of Blue’s Clues after all these years. Blue’s Clues is hands down one of the most successful and critically acclaimed preschool TV shows in history, and we’re so proud that Nickelodeon has been its home for the last 25 years,” said Naito.

“The series’ creativity, interactivity, and inclusivity has stood the test of time and we are continuing to empower, challenge, and build the self-esteem of a new generation of preschoolers with a brand-new Blue’s Clues & You! movie and multiple upcoming seasons of the series in our Animation Studio pipeline.”

Blue’s Clues & You! has gained praise from educators, preschoolers, and parents alike over the years. This led to it generating a global fan base. It spans across 160 countries and more than 20 languages. The recent remake is now on its fourth season. The original series ran for 6 seasons. It was created by Traci Paige Johnson, Todd Kessler, and Angela Santomero.

In celebration of the milestone, Nickelodeon is planning various other events. Including special episodes, a music video, an all-day marathon on Wednesday, September 8th and so much more. Make sure to keep up with Nickelodeon as more details are revealed!
