Ninian Doff makes his feature film debut with Get Duked!. The movie is currently playing on Amazon Prime.
This film tells a story about four teenagers who go on a mission to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The program encourages teamwork, foraging, as well as orienteering. However these kids are eager to get out to the Scottish Highlands to smoke weed.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an annual event where a quarter of a million teens from Britain and Australia participate. Most people are not aware of this event and Ninian introduces it in an idiotic and humorous way. He personally completed the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and won the Bronze medal.

I conducted a quick Zoom chat with the writer and director to discuss the making of his debut film. By the way, he clarified what he meant when he previously said he wanted to break the mold of UK filming by making a funny, entertaining at the same time politically motivating film for all ages.
