Nintendo Debuts New Switch OLED Model With Bigger Vibrant Screen

Nintendo Switch OLED

Nintendo knows how to take a product and continue to improve on it.  Today the company made an announcement that a new version of the Nintendo Switch is coming.  In the same fashion as the Apple iPhone, the new model of the Nintendo Switch features a larger OLED screen measuring seven inches. At first glance, this may not seem like a massive upgrade but when going into the details you can tell that the overall experience will be improved with this new model.

The new system features a vibrant 7-inch OLED screen, a wide adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio. You will be able to connect online using the dock’s LAN port when playing in TV mode. The OLED Switch Save comes with 64 GB of internal storage to save the gaming process. The enhanced audio is from the new system’s onboard speakers.

This system upgrade seems to be for customers that have yet to get a Nintendo Switch or gamers that prefer a larger screen to travel with.  While I don’t predict a lot of these models will sell, it will definitely be an alternative for families that won’t be able to get a PS5 or Xbox this holiday season.

The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) will be available on October 8, 2021, for a retail price of $349.99.
