No Time To Die Will Tie Up Last Couple Bond Movies

The Daniel Craig James Bond movies have been pretty unique for the franchise. Sure, there are some exceptions, but by and large, James Bond movies have been meant to stand alone. We saw this change with Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, and they’ve continued this loose narrative through Spectre. Now, with the new film, No Time to Die, it sounds like they will be continuing that on.

Naomie Harris, who plays Moneypenny, spoke with GQ, revealed the film is “a tie-up of Skyfall and Spectre. But with massive, massive surprises that even had me like, ‘Oh, wow!’ So I think we’re going to really shock people.”

Of course, there is no word on just how this whole thing will shock people (other than the rumor that the film opens with a black female 007 agent), but I do think it’s interesting that they plan on “wrapping things up” considering I feel like that was the goal of Spectre, and we all know how that went.

That being said, it does seem like more and more that the producers are paving the way for there to be a new James Bond — one that isn’t necessarily the traditional white male we’ve seen for decades. That being said, we’ll have to wait and see just how that turns out. Wouldn’t it be crazy if they killed off Daniel Craig in the first act?

Just a trial balloon here.
