The latest Barside Buzz is that Noah Hawley has met with Marvel about several projects, including Young Avengers. The rumor comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. Daniel says that Hawley has been talking to Marvel for a while and was in consideration for both Doomsday and Secret Wars. Obviously this was therefore prior the decision to go with the Russos.
However, Daniel says that he is now in consideration for other projects and on he’s heard is Young Avengers. Given that Hawley is most experienced in the TV realm I do think Young Avengers is likely. We’ve never been told Young Avengers is a show and not a film, but it makes sense. The characters haven’t yet been introduced enough to really pad out a movie for me.
Hawley’s most recent project for the streaming service is Alien: Earth. I guess we will see how that one goes, but a very different audience to the ones you’d be attracting in Young Avengers. Personally, I’d rather have a well written character drama, so I’m pro Hawley for this one.

No such project as Young Avengers has ever been officially confirmed. However, if you’ve been keeping up with the MCU you know the characters have most certainly been teased. What we didn’t know was whether it was a show or a film. The more time goes on, I think it’s looking more and more likely Young Avengers is a show on Disney+. Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum recently skirted around questions on Young Avengers in a recent interview. You can catch the highlights in the related section above.
