Yesterday we got an awesome Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer. The trailer was cool and the score was majestic. However let’s do some trailer analysis and compare what we know from leaks with what we saw in the trailer. Because we are referring to potential leaked information here and therefore story beats, please be aware of potential SPOILERS if you read on. Though this was tagged in the title, so if you went this far, you probably won’t turn back now.

First of all, let me attach the trailer again here, just so I have an excuse to watch it one more time.

Let’s start with the voice-over shall we? “The fight is done, we lost, stay hidden.”

I’m guessing this is Obi-Wan talking to the rumored young Jedi who seeks out Obi-Wan hoping to re-establish the Jedi Order. This was a rumor from MSW, who seems to have gotten a lot of the early episode plot points correct. We covered those leaks Here, if you want to take a look?

Next up and with those same set of rumors we can see Reva (named confirmed) hassling denizens of Tatooine and that means Owen Lars. It seems this may be what brings Obi-Wan under the cross-hairs of Reva and the other Inquistors. This was also covered in the rumors linked above. We also see another planet, not Tatooine and it seems Obi-Wan will be heading there at some point. This also matches the rumors that Leia is held prisoner somewhere and Obi-Wan has to go and rescue here. The planet was described as Space Reno, which I think matches the shots below.

Like fans have been debating since the trailer hit, who is this new Inquisitor we’ve not seen before in the shot below? Not covered in any rumors but we have never seen this character in anything else yet as far as I can tell?

We have the Fifth Brother here, and Reva standing up, but who is sitting on the left hand side (above)? Talking about Inquisitors, we have Sun Kang confirmed as the Fifth Brother. Not gonna lie we knew this from way, way back, but it was covered by other insiders anyway prior to this. Another leak confirmed then. How about another?

Clearly this is Rupert Friend (above) playing the Grand Inquisitor, again as was already leaked. We covered that story Here. We didn’t publish this first, but we did back up the original source which was Bespin Bulletin.

Finally a cool detail many fans noticed is that some video game Star Wars just made it into live-action. Fortress Inquisitorius was the stronghold of the Inquisitors in Jedi: Fallen Order. Now we are going to see this location within Obi-Wan Kenobi in live-action.
