A new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer drops later today as confirmed by the official Obi-Wan Kenobi Twitter account. Sadly as you can see from the post below, there is no indication of time, so we’ll just have to wait and see when it drops. I actually prefer the strategy some other franchises have taken lately in having a countdown.
For a start it allows outlets like ourselves to be well prepared to promote it immediately, which Disney wants us all to do. Secondly, it gets the fanbase into hype mode and ensures that everyone is ready to watch it as soon as they can get the chance. It also allows fans to schedule breaks from work, or get up half an hour early depending on what timezone you live in. However, c’est la vie, I guess?

As for what this trailer may contain? Well we cannot say for sure, but we did cover a rumor that some new footage was due to drop imminently just over a week ago. At the time I thought it would be crazy for Lucasfilm to drop a trailer before May 4th, and it looks like I was right. However if the source was getting solid information then it is likely we may see some Darth Vader in this trailer. So far, all we have seen of Vader has been one still published by EW in their early coverage of Kenobi.

Anyway, happy Star Wars day everyone. As always on May 4th, we hope for a slew of cool Star Wars news. However with SW Celebration just around the corner it seems far more likely we’ll have to wait a few more weeks. At least we are getting something this time as a new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer drops later today. The question is, will that be all we get today directly from Lucasfilm? We wait and see folks.
We will be sure to share the trailer as soon as we see it drop, so feel free to keep an eye on LRMOnline.com, our Twitter, or even our Discord where you will be notified also. Let us know what you hope to see from this new trailer in any of the usual places you chat.
