Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Getting Rerelease With Extra Footage

I know what you’re thinking. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood wasn’t nearly long enough. Running at 2 hours and 41 minutes, it really didn’t have enough time to breathe. There weren’t any moments where Tarantino just let the characters marinate in the setting. Well, if that’s how you feel, then I have some damn good news for you, courtesy of the folks over at Sony Pictures.

The studio has announced that they will be releasing a new cut of the film starting this coming Friday, and that the new print will be released in 1,000 venues in the U.S. and Canada.

In addition for it being an excuse to push the movie a second time (prompting fans like me to head to my local multiplex to see the film once again), it also looks to be a push for this awards season, which is rearing to go.

One can’t help but wonder how this cut would be different from the miniseries we’ll likely be getting on Netflix later, as it has been confirmed that Tarantino has at least mentioned the idea of breaking it up as he did with The Hateful Eight. Are there EVEN MORE scenes we’ll get to experience in the miniseries form, and will this extended cut even feature scenes not to be included in the miniseries format.

So many questions!
