It’s about damn time. We’ve been covering this thing for years, and as with every Quentin Tarantino movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is coming to us with a whole lot of anticipation, in spite of the fact that we’ve seen virtually nothing. Even that first trailer that was hit didn’t give us a whole lot to latch onto apart from a few lines. When would we be getting an honest-to-goodness trailer that gave us an idea of the story?

Well, with the movie premiering today at the Cannes Film Festival, it makes sense they’d make today the day we’d get that very trailer. And boy does it look like something special. In this trailer, I can really see its Pulp Fiction-esque structure as it follows a few key storylines — you have washed-up actor Rick Dalton, his stuntman Cliff, and up-and-comer Sharon Tate.

As is shown in the trailer, just as Rick’s career is bottoming out, he notices he’s living next to Tate, whose career looks to be on the upswing. And then, at some point, it looks as those these stories may collide thanks to one Charles Manson and his insane cult. My big question here is how Tarantino will handle the murder of Tate (if it will end in a murder at all), especially since he got the permission of her family. Additionally, I wonder if this will be told in a linear fashion, or if it’ll be closer to how Pulp Fiction‘s narrative was split up into three separate stories.

Even with this trailer, it’s cool to see how these stories will collide. Rick lives next to Sharon. Sharon eventually gets murdered by the Manson family, and Cliff looks to be involved with a member of the family romantically.

Either way, I’m on board. This movie looks fun and exciting, and I can’t wait. But what about you? Did this one win you over? Let us know down below!
