Kelly Blatz has a certain love for motorcycles, and it was an opportune time to bring this love to life in the motorcycle racing film One Fast Move.

The film stars K.J. Apa (Riverdale, The Hate U Give), Eric Dane (Euphoria, Grey’s Anatomy), Edward James Olmos (Selena, Stand and Deliver), and Maia Reficco (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Do Revenge).

Here is the official synopsis:

One Fast Move is an action-adventure thrill ride about a young man down on his luck who seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of becoming a professional motorcycle racer. With the help of his small town love interest and a motorcycle shop owner who moonlights as his mentor, he begins to break down the walls that his father’s absence had built up.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with director and screenwriter Kelly Blatz about his love of motorcycles, recreating the drama and action racing scenes.

Kelly Blatz is best known for playing the lead role in Aaron Stone. He made his acting debut in 2006’s Simon Says and The 7. He appeared in the 2008 remake of Prom Night, which also starred Brittany Snow and Idris Elba. In 2014, he was cast in the lead role of Exeter and then part of the cast of the second season of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. He debuted his directorial feature with Senior Love Triangle, inspired by the celebrated TIME documentary photo series.

One Fast Move streams on Thursday, August 8.
