The Straw Hat pirates will save the day in One Piece Film: Red.

After a thousand episodes and a few films, the Straw Hate pirates thought they could enjoy life at a musical concert than battling the Navy and searching for that elusive One Piece. But, things are more than meets the eye at the most anticipated concert.

Here is the One Piece Film: Red synopsis:

Uta—the most beloved singer in the world whose voice has been described as “otherworldly”—is renowned for concealing her own identity when performing. Now, for the first time ever, she will reveal herself to the world at a live concert.

With the Navy watching closely, the venue fills with Uta’s fans—including excited pirates and the Straw Hats led by Luffy, who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance—all eagerly awaiting the voice that the whole world has been waiting for to resound. The story begins with the shocking revelation that she is the enigmatic Shank’s daughter.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with the main voice actors of the film, which included Colleen Clinkenbeard (Luffy), Brandon Potter (Shanks), and Matthew Mercer (Law).

Colleen Clickenbeard is a voice actress, ADR director, line producer, and writer mainly for Funimation, now Crunchyroll. She started her voice acting career by lending her voice as Rachel Moore in the detective series Case Closed. Later, she served as the co-ADR director of Fullmetal Alchemist. Her other credits in anime dubs included Erza Scarlet in Fairy Tail and Mom Yaoyorozu in My Hero Academia.

Brandon Potter is known for his voice acting, directing, and script writing for Funimation, now known as Crunchyroll. He started in 2006 voicing Sven Vollfied in Black Cat. A couple of years later, he voiced the major character Shanks for the One Piece series. His other notable series in voice acting include .hack//Quantum, Appleseed XIII, Chronos Ruler, My Hero Academia, Samurai Warriors, and the film Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie.

Matthew Mercer is a versatile voice actor who worked with Studiopolis, Funimation, Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Viz Media, and NYAV Post in anime, cartoons, and video games. His anime credits included Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titan, Fate/Zero, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dragon Ball Super, Hunter x Hunter, and Persona 4: The Animation. His extensive list of video games includes Resident Evil 6, Mortal Kombat 9, Fire Emblem, Titanfall 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, Injustice 2, Overwatch, Persona 5, Fallout 4, Fortnite, League of Legends, and Kingdom Hearts. Also, he is well known as the Dungeon Master in his Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role since 2015.

One Piece Film: Red is in theaters today, November 4.
