One Piece | Mike McFarland And Eric Vale On Making It To 1000 Episodes [Exclusive Interview]

If you are a fan of the anime One Piece, it’s a very well-known fact that this Saturday, November 20th, is a historic evening as the ever-popular animated series will hit episode 1000. It’s produced by Toei Animation and is based on the top-selling manga title of all time by creator Eiichiro Oda. It first appeared on Japanese television in October of 1999. Below is the preview for the historic episode.

“The 1000th episode of ‘One Piece’ is truly a history-making moment not only for the franchise, but also for the millions of fans around the world that have supported the series over the last 22 years,” said Masayuki Endo, President, and CEO of Toei Animation Inc. “We’re excited to mark this major milestone for ‘One Piece’ and look forward to celebrating it together with fans at our special global live stream event on November 20th”.

This iconic series features the ever charismatic pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew on their epic quest to find, One Piece, the legendary treasure of former King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger. The franchise’s global pop culture status is evergrowing from its manga and animated series. Now reaching feature theatrical films, home videos, video games, merchandise, and even a live-action series.

As part of the celebration of this milestone for One Piece, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Mike McFarland and Eric Vale. McFarland is the ADR Director for the series and also provides the voice for Buggy the Star Clown. Vale provides the voice for Vinsmoke Sanji.
