If you grew up watching the Power Rangers, and you were a boy, chances are you were all about the Green Ranger. Let’s face it, he was a total badass. He was an edgier counterpart to the other Rangers, and showed the potential for just how dangerous their abilities could be in the wrong hands.

While it was cool that Tommy turned to the good side after his arc, he was never really the same. Like other reformed characters in fiction, he was rendered a bit toothless once he became a part of the team. But what if he turned a blind eye to the ways of good?

For the past couple months, Boom! Studios has been teasing an upcoming comic event, Power Rangers: Shattered Grid. In this comic, Tommy chose a different route, and seized power for himself, conquering many worlds in the process. Now, he is set to go after the Rangers we knew growing up.

In the new live-action trailer for the event, we get to see actor Jason David Frank return to play the Green Ranger’s evil counterpart Lord Drakkon. It may just be in the trailer, but it’s still pretty darn cool, and is the closest thing we’ll get to seeing a PG-13 Green Ranger movie with the original cast.
