It’s been said that everyone has a doppelganger somewhere around the world.

In this case, this entity will try to enter into one family’s lives by possibly replacing the original mother in Other Mommy.

In this terrifying film from Blumhouse Atomic Monster, Jessica Chastain (It Chapter Two, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) headlines as both the mother and the evil entity.

The film also stars Jay Duplass (Transparent, Industry) as Daddo, and Arabella Olivia Clark (The Housemaid, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle) as Bella.

The brief description reads, “Into the darkening world of a young girl, Bela, who forms a relationship with a sinister entity in her home ho looks uncannily like her own mother.”

This film is in good hands with director Rob Savage, who directed Host and The Boogeyman. Both of those films have their own horror cult following.

Nathan Elston wrote the screenplay based on the New York Times bestselling novel “Incidents Around the House” by Josh Malerman.

Other Mommy is in theaters on Friday, October 9.
