Paramount+’s Star Trek: Picard S3 Reveals Teaser Art | TCA 2023

what happened to Picard Season 3

Jean-Lu Picard is on his last journey for the final season of Star Trek: Picard.

At the Television Critics Association 2023, the showrunner and cast unveiled the teaser art for the last season of Picard and a teaser trailer to the critics.

The attendees of the panel included Patric Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), Michael Dorn (Worf), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Terry Matalas (Showrunner/Executive Producer), and Alex Kurtzman (Executive Producer).

“In this season, Jean-Luc Picard and his crew never got a final send-off,” said showrunner Terry Matalas. “How better to end that journey by looking at the beginning?”

Executive producer Alex Kurtzman is open to more seasons if this proves to be incredibly successful rather than this be the final season. For now, this is the goodbye to this crew.

“If we can maintain the work quality of Picard, then absolutely yes. There’s still enormous potential,” added actor Patrick Stewart.

In the teaser trailer, the original cast from Star Trek: The Next Generation make their appearances as they unite to take down an old familiar foe. The old crew present also included Data, William Riker, Geordi La Forge, Deanna Troi, Worf, and Beverly Crusher.

Also, Matalas revealed there will be plenty of Star Trek: The Next Generation characters that will be in the upcoming season—such as Moriarty was revealed in its teaser trailer.

The final season of Star Trek: Picard streams on Paramount+ on February 16.
