Peacemaker Season 2 adds two new cast members and Penguin will premiere on Max this September. Let’s start with Peacemaker Season 2. The Wrap reports that both Sol Rodriguez and David Denman have been cast in the sophomore season of this DC show on Max. The outlet reports that Rodriguez will be playing Sasha Bordeaux. However, Denman’s role is currently unknown. Check it out.
‘Rodríguez is playing Sasha Bordeaux while Denman’s role is being kept under wraps. In the comics, Bordeaux was created by Greg Rucka and Shawn Martinbrough, first appearing in Detective Comics #751. Bordeaux was at first primarily associated with Batman, including being a love interest for him, and she subsequently developed an association with Checkmate, which has had connections with Amanda Waller’s Task Force X.’

Additionally, Variety recently spoke to Casey Bloys, Max executive about the launch in France. Bloys also gives word that Penguin is set to premiere on Max this September. The show is a direct sequel to Matt Reeves The Batman, and follows the story of Oz, aka Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin played by Colin Farrell.
“One of the advantages that I think we have as a company, putting aside HBO for a second, is all the Warner Bros. IP. So after “House of the Dragon,” the next big tentpole series that we have coming up will be the “Penguin” with Colin Farrell. That is coming out of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” and it’s fantastic. Just like “Peacemaker” came out of James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad.” It’s a really good example of what you can do. That’ll be in September.”
I am looking forward to both shows immensely.
