Ron Perlman has been pretty vocal in recent years about wanting to return for a Hellboy III. The veteran actor, whose hit series Sons of Anarchy wrapped last year, wants to capitalize on his current notoriety by entreating fans to create a social media firestorm that the studio can’t ignore. He took to Facebook a few hours ago and posted the following:
Anybody out there wanna see Hellboy 3 as much as I do? Let's get this muthaf*cka trending, y'all!Let's end the trilogy; we earned it!

In today’s sequel-happy landscape, it is a bit of a mystery why it’s taken so long for something like this to come together. Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army were both decent hits when they came out in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In fact, the sequel earned $60 million more than the original and was even more well-liked by critics and fans alike than the first. While neither was a blockbuster hit, it would definitely appear that Perlman is right in asserting that they earned the right to cap off a trilogy.
So if you want to get involved with creating enough of a fan outcry to spark the fire for Hellboy III, then here’s the appropriate hashtag:
#HellboyIII
