Pet Sematary Trailer: Sometimes Dead Is Better

Welcome to another Stephen King adaptation, folks! If you’ve ever grown up and feared that his stories would never actually receive the quality treatment they’d deserve, then fret not. We’re finally living in an age where the filmmaking sensibilities are a good fit for King’s off-the-wall style.

Last year saw IT hit the big screen to much fanfare, and next year will see IT: Chapter Two…but also Pet Sematary, another beloved King classic. Like IT, Pet Sematary is a project that’s already been made once before, but is also one that can do with a fresh coat of paint. Based on the trailer above, this looks like it’ll fit the bill nicely.

Below is the official synopsis for Pet Sematary:

“Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, (#StephenKing) #PetSematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (#JohnLithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”

Y’all ready to see the dead rise again? Let us know if this trailer has you pumped or not!

Pet Sematary hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
