Hollywood may love movies about movies, but if we can’t get movies about movies, there’s a good chance we’ll settle for movies about creativity in general. Mix that in with a heartfelt and genuine script, and you have something that is bound to resonate with critics and movie-lovers. In short, add in the subject of creativity to a standard Pixar script, and you have gold.
It looks like we may have just that. Yesterday, we got our first look at their latest movie Soul in terms of story and character details, and it seemed very promising, but the new teaser trailer for the film looks to deliver on that promise.

Check out the teaser trailer below!
Soul feature Joe Gardner, a middle-school band teacher whose true passion is playing jazz.
“I think Joe is having that crisis that all artists have,” says co-director Kim Powers. “He’s increasingly feeling like his lifelong dream of being a jazz musician is not going to pan out and he’s asking himself ‘Why am I here? What am I meant to be doing?’ Joe personifies those questions.”
Below is the synopsis:
“In the film, just when Joe thinks his dream might be in reach, a single unexpected step sends him to a fantastical place where he’s is forced to think again about what it truly means to have soul. That’s where he meets and ultimately teams up with 22, a soul who doesn’t think life on Earth is all it’s cracked up to be. Jamie Foxx lends his voice to Joe, while Tina Fey voices 22.”
The film is also directed by Pixar head Pete Docter.
